Meet Jenna Hodgman
Starting therapy often begins with wanting things to feel different.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected in relationships, or unsure how to manage stress or strong emotions. Jenna offers a calm, supportive space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin making meaningful changes.
Jenna works with children ages 7 and older, teens, and adults across the lifespan, with a particular passion for supporting individuals in early and mid-adulthood navigating identity development, relationships, emotional regulation, and life transitions.
She provides in-person therapy in Burlington as well as secure online therapy across Ontario.
Who Jenna Supports
Jenna works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing:
-
Bipolar disorder
-
Emotional regulation challenges
-
Interpersonal and relationship difficulties
She supports clients who may feel emotionally overwhelmed, reactive, self-critical, or unsure how to move forward during periods of change or stress.
Many clients seek Jenna’s support when emotions feel intense, relationships feel complicated, or coping strategies that once worked no longer feel effective.
Jenna particularly enjoys working with individuals who are navigating career stress, evolving relationships, personal growth, and changing life roles.
Therapeutic Style
Jenna’s therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity and respect. She believes therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to explore their experiences honestly while building practical skills that support everyday life.
Sessions move at a pace that balances reflection with action. Some clients come seeking tools to manage anxiety or emotional reactions, while others want deeper understanding of long-standing patterns or relationship dynamics. Jenna adapts therapy to meet each person’s goals and developmental stage.
Her work is trauma-informed and developmentally sensitive, recognizing how past experiences, relationships, and environments shape emotional responses today.

Grounding Philosophy
A perspective that resonates deeply with Jenna’s work is:
"Healing is not about becoming someone new; it is about returning to yourself."
This philosophy reflects her belief that therapy helps individuals reconnect with strengths, values, and capacities that may feel lost during difficult experiences rather than trying to fundamentally change who they are.
